I watch the dark and close my eyes, put out a hand and seize the skies, longing to hold a chance I never knew. Tears and a history let go, washing a memory I know, and sometimes I wonder don't you think of me too? When all of our plans outweighed our fears, and waiting could last a thousand years, and night after night you'd hear me sing. I miss you. Sure is a time I long to be, a dark in my arms I want to see, and weren't you sure what I was feeling too? A rareness of time I had to find, a diamond the ocean left behind, and beauty my dreams will always see in you. But time is escape for hearts marooned, for fixing mistakes and healing wounds. Still in the night you'll hear me sing. I miss you.
